One great year with many to come

This is us a year ago today:

This is us today:

We mostly celebrated our one-year a day early by eating dinner at the location below. It was DELICIOUS.

Afterwards we went to the theaters and watched this awesome movie:

Today I baked cookies right after church. Some of the cookies decided they wanted to be more like a cookie pizza rather than individual cookies...

We brought some of the cookies that didn't bake into a pizza over to our friends the Clarks and enjoyed a visit with them (after which Brynn was kind enough to take pictures of us- again).

We later enjoyed some Martinelli's Sparkling Apple Cider during the exact time a year ago that we were being married in the temple (about 3:20pm MST).

We had a simple dinner tonight:

And mostly we enjoyed being able to celebrate having made it through our first year of marriage and reflect a while on how great it has been so far and how many more years we have ahead of us.

The Aiden I remember

It's weird for me to hear Aiden over the phone speaking sentences, however fragmented or silly they are. He seems to be understanding so much more now, and it's still crazy to me. Mostly because I more-so think of the Aiden in these videos.

I love his nose scrunch and unintelligible speech:

Service in Manti

Today we went with other ward members down to Manti to help with the set-up for the Mormon Miracle Pageant. It was some hard work and I'm sure I'll be sore tomorrow, but it was great for the people there. One of the lead men told us that they have never finished setting up nearly as early as they did with our help (we had most things out by noon when we took lunch before leaving).

I'm glad that we were able to offer them about 30 sets of extra hands that made the work go much faster. It was worth rolling out of bed at 4:20am on the one day we usually get to sleep in, and it was fun to see such a beautiful temple with a lovely lawn.

I believe it has been a productive day, indeed.

This picture shows some of the "rock" walls that were set up for the pageant, and the tall black light towers.
