Small miracles

Not all of you may consider these two things to be miracles, but to me they were.

1. This morning, I looked up the religion homework I thought I would have to do today which likely would have resulted in me doing about half and getting half credit. However, when I checked my course website (via LearningSuite), I discovered I had already done it! I don't remember when I did, but I did it and that was one less thing to worry about today.

2. I needed to print and cut a lot of pictures for an in-class activity tomorrow that my team is in charge of. This issue had miracles in two parts.
a. Our printer hadn't been doing well with color and when I tried to print some of the pictures they turned out strangely green. I opened my desk drawer which I was certain didn't have any more ink in it because I had checked for some a while back, and lo and behold there was a color ink cartridge. I was able to print all of the pictures that I need for tomorrow and they look great!
b. I had a couple of friends come over to visit me (my visiting teachers for those familiar with that term), and I told them about the event I'm doing with my group tomorrow and how I'll have to cut out a ton of pictures. One of them then let me know that she has a paper cutter which I was able to borrow from her and it was a definite time saver and definitely beat using scissors considering I cut out (with some help from Bry) 100 pictures that averaged about 2x3inch squares.

Now I am off to bed, very late, but it could have been either much later (without the paper cutter and with religion homework) or come with me feeling much more stressed (without color ink to print out pictures which would have meant trying to print and cut them all on campus in the half hour break I'd have between classes).

I am so grateful for the small mercies and miracles in life.

Also, the weather was a beautiful 55 or so degrees and Bry and I were able to go for a short walk outside which was wonderful. Another miracle - it's February, in Provo, yet sunny and warm. =)

Monkeys v. Moneys

When reading scriptures, if you read "monkeys" instead of "moneys" it makes the verses verrrry interesting (and really funny). I would know since I have now done it at least 3 times in the last hour....

Heaven, I'm in Heaven

Sometimes the weather makes me thrilled to pieces. Yesterday between around noon and 2 or so, the weather was high 50s here in Provo, the sun was shining and I wanted to skip and sing. It was beautiful.

For the next few days, it's supposed to stay in the high 40s and rain a little today, probably. BEAUTIFUL. Middle of February. PROVO. Rain. Practically 50.

Food is delicious

I have been making a lot of food the last few days and it has been a lot of fun, particularly making some things I have never before made by myself.

I have made ambrosia salad, chicken salad sandwiches, homemade ice cream, and fresh salsa (see below).

Food is a great thing and I am grateful I can buy what I need without worrying a lot about how much every onion or pound of ground beef costs.

House/Dog Sitting

Bry and I had the opportunity this last week to house- and dog-sit for a co-worker of his down in Spanish Fork canyon. It was beautiful.

You can't see any houses, but they're back there.
Yes, there are houses up this road.

I love Barney (this dog).
This is Tizzy being relatively still.

I know this is fuzzy, but this is how they'd sometimes start playing.
Barney sniffing Tizzy's ear.

Barney liked to do this- this is him on the back of a couch.

He's so cute!

Sleepy boy.

Sleepy girl.
The dogs were most probably my favorite part about being at the house. They were so cute and so sweet. I will miss them, and being greeted like this whenever I got home:
