Easter family fun

Easter was a lot of fun. The kids looked for baskets in the morning, we enjoyed church together, had some lunch then did an Easter egg hunt. My kids needed some help but they did pretty well.

Henry didn't really want to be in pictures but Emma did a good job holding him.

Running away from the picture-taking.
He looked so dapper.

He's got the cheesy grin down.

These two beauties had a great time together, and stayed up late chatting several nights.

Emma didn't want to get this egg because of the spiderwebs near it. Ha.

I could look at his cheesy grin all day.

Spin around.

One of her eggs had one dollar and 5 dimes inside.
She exclaimed "I got money! And a paper?"
Apparently we haven't talked much about money.
The day after Easter we took it easy for the most part, but we did make it out to a nice park in Maple Valley.

Her Uncle Isaac is a pro swing pusher.

On Wednesday we went to Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium and the kids loved it. I loved it, too.

My kids liked the touch areas and were very gentle.
Henry was ready to jump right in with his finger at the ready.

Looking for the arctic foxes.
We did the carousel last. Emma kept asking throughout our walk around the zoo about if we were going to the carousel yet. She was so excited for it which is awesome since she was terrified of them two years ago. Henry did really well on the carousel. He got squirmy before it started since we were the first ones on and had to wait as other people came and selected seats and everything. Once it got moving I think he was a little nervous but he got smiley after not too long and seemed happy.

New family photos.

We are so grateful to family for coming up to see us - it's a LONG drive (13.5-ish hours if you time it well with commute in the various big cities along the way). We looked forward to their visit so much and we loved each day we got to spend with them. We love getting together with family.
